This method of identification will also wor discarded red P sludge. First, an ether wash is required to remove the neutral P2P and 'naphthalene' impur is followed by a chloroform extraction.

The chloroform extract is evaporated and the light yellow cr methamphetamine HI are identified by IR. Partial conversion will obviou in a mixture of the HI salts being obtained.

Methamphetamine, ephedrine, and pesudoephedrine HI salts yellow solids at room temperature. Racemic methamphetamine HI is an oil. Page 3 of 3. Identification of P2P and the 'naphthalenes' as impur indicates an ephedrine was reduced under acidic conditions. Methamphetamine HI reacts with the re give an immediate dark brown color with the evolution of iodine.

The dark brown color is caused by t formed from the reaction of sulfuric acid with iodide ion. Most organic iodides also produce the same reac sulfuric acid. For example, all of the methamphetamine and ephedrine hydriodides, as well as sodium and p iodide, also liberate iodine with sulfuric acid. The nitroprusside13 screening reagent can be used to diff methamphetamine secondary amine, deep blue color from amphetamine and dimethylamphetamine prim tertiary amines, no color.

The enantiomeric form of methamphetamine or ephe determined by one or more of the following: polarimetry, mixed microcrystals, mixed melting points, in enantiomeric derivatization GC techniques.

The second part is a two percent sodium carbonate solution. The blue color is formed imm after the second part of the reagent is added.

The love of film-making began because of a wrestling injury in high school. He studied film in college and earned a BA degree.

After over camera department credits, he decided to take his creativeness behind the lens into the producing world after teaming up with his producing partner Sean Martinez. This simple term comprises the breadth of her philosophy. This method also applies to her work ethic as she tries to explore new techniques and knowledge to rise out of traditional concepts and make breakthroughs.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, a multi-cultural environment, she was fortunate enough to be exposed to a wide range of cultures, art, people, and most importantly perspectives. This greatly impacts what she hopes to bring into any project she is working on — duality in design to convey meanings. While being a business major and minor in psychology at Cal State University of Northridge, she got her first project in and was hired on as an Art Department Assistant in Los Angeles.

In September , she moved to Atlanta to further her work in Art Department and learned creative storytelling through design and the flow of how creatives work together to generate results. She is now working as an Art Coordinator in the film industry. To be a part of something bigger than herself feeds her soul and contributing to a greater whole and giving back to an industry that brought her so many great joys growing up — Film. Her entire life, she has always loved to tell stories.

At the age of 14, she found her storytelling platform in a high school video broadcast class and 10 years later, she turned it into a career. At the age of 24, she found herself exactly where she wanted to be doing exactly what she wanted to do; telling amazing stories with amazing people. It can be difficult to come by a story that is so compelling, so engaging and also completely original.

From the start, she knew that this was a story that she wanted to take a part in telling and the opportunity to embark on a transformational journey. He initially studied directing and writing at Chapman University earning a B. His 15 years of playing violin and 8 years of performing in orchestra groups form a strong base for his classical composition skills, which he combines with his sense of dark whimsy and love for unusual instrumentation to craft scores that happily serve their projects.

Robert won a variety of awards for his music, including a nomination from the College Television Emmy Awards. He is currently finishing up the music for two different independent video games, both set to be released in Whenever Robert is not in the studio, he also works as a professional script supervisor and has done projects for Buzzfeed, Spike TV, and Warner Brothers in the past, amongst countless other production companies.

Robert was drawn to AMMF because of the unique musical challenges the project presented through the juxtaposition of whimsical fantasy and stark reality. He looks forward to watching AMMF flourish on the festival circuit! Site design and hosting provided by Little Guy Designs.

Summary Chronic methamphetamine abuse has devastating effects on the central nervous system. Introduction The current epidemic of methamphetamine abuse in the US is not surprising.

A United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime reports estimated 25 million abusers of amphetamines worldwide exceeding the number of users for both cocaine 14 million and heroin 11 million 9 After World War II many US soldiers and civilians continued to use methamphetamine, which at that time was available by prescription in an injectable form. Pharmacology and Toxicology Both the acute and chronic neurologic effects of methamphetamine are the result of its pharmacology and toxicology.

Neuropsychiatric Complications Dopamine and Serotonin neurons project widely throughout the CNS and are known to influence a variety of behaviors and functions. Formication One interesting aspect of chronic methamphetamine psychosis is the delusion of parasitosis or formication the belief that one is infested with and being bitten by bugs. Stereotypy or Punding One of the unique manifestations of methamphetamine abuse is the development of punding.

Choreoathetoid movements and dyskinesias A potential complication of methamphetamine-induced damage to the dopaminergic nervous system is the development of dyskinesias and choreoathetoid movements. Dental Caries Although not traditionally considered a neurologic complication, the development of dental caries and teeth erosion in chronic methamphetamine abusers may be the result of elevations in brain monoamines.
