Me and my partner have done everything asked of us, including driving all the way from Penang to KL on two different occasions to get documents stamped and certified.
We finally made our way to the JPN office an Penang today to submit the documents to be told we might need to go back to KL to get a student pass which we already have and has been stamped by immigration in KL. All of this is completely unnecessary and making what should be a moment to savour an absolute nightmare.

Alternately in Muslim culture you need to pay haq-mehar also known as Dowry and this can be any amount you and your gf agree to.
