Accreditation remains in effect until the program closes or withdraws from the accreditation process or until accreditation is withdrawn for failure to comply with the standards. The review date is contingent upon continued compliance with the accreditation standards and ARC-PA policy.

Skip to main content. Search GO. All coursework will be taken at UW-Platteville. No GRE required for admission. Must provide evidence that undergraduate coursework in the major and general education requirements will be completed prior to or as outlined in the approved degree completion plan. Must complete at least 90 credit hours prior to starting the Master of Physician Assistant Studies program. Must obtain a minimum of hours of direct patient care experience. Additional requirements regarding academic advising may be required.
Complete applicant interview at UW-Platteville. Attend required PA orientation during the spring of third year. Program structure We anticipate accepting 10 students into the program in Year 1 May ; 12 students in Year 2 May ; and 14 students in Year 3 May Year 1 One year of didactic coursework done primarily through videoconferencing. Year 2 One year of clinical rotations done primarily in southwestern Wisconsin and focused on rural and often underserved communities. Rotations include: Family Medicine: including prenatal, gynecological, pediatrics, and behavioral health Internal Medicine: general and subspecialties in both clinic and hospital settings Surgery: general and subspecialties Emergency Medicine Electives: various specialties.
