Just asking this question went from 0 MB to over MB. I have 3G and I think this is a waste of my bandwidth limit. I set Windows Update to check for updates but allow me to download and install them. Most often when the problem is due to someone else connecting they do so via Wi-Fi. Otherwise, start tracing the cables and physical connections to ensure that no one else is connected at all.
